Ramura

Cherry / Bourbon County, KY

RAMURA is a natural edge wood bowl that I hand turned on my lathe from cherry wood responsibly sourced right here in Bourbon County, Kentucky.

This particular piece of cherry came from the crotch of a tree with many branches. Through the process of turning this piece of wood, a lot of tension was released creating cracks even though the wood was dry already. The cracks and knots have been reinforced but some warping may occur over time as more tension is released, though this only adds to the uniqueness of the piece.

This bowl measures approximately 5-1/8″ wide, 3-1/2″ tall, and 3-1/8″ deep and was polished with food safe walnut oil.
