OONA is an African mahogany wooden bowl that was hand turned on my lathe. Native to Africa, African mahogany wood tends to darken with age. This wood was gifted to me by a friend and its origin is otherwise unknown.

This bowl measures 4-3/8″ wide, 2-5/8″ tall, and 2-1/4″ deep. The wood was finished with high friction polish, which brings out the natural changes in coloring, tone, and grain in the wood. Be sure to note, though, that the finish is not food safe and the bowl should not be used to hold water or other liquids.
