Spalted Beech / Franklin County, KY

LYTTON is a spalted beech wood plate that was hand turned on my lathe and made from wood responsibly sourced in nearby Franklin County, Kentucky. With a large void and ingrown bark, this piece of wood was a little more challenging to turn, but well worth the added effort!

The plate measures 9-1/8″ wide and 1″ high and was finished with high friction polish, which brings out the natural changes in coloring, tone, and grain in the wood.
